- 2010 Growing Green Award Judges now confirmed!
They are innovators, entrepreneurs, educators and designers – in government, commerce, construction and non-profits. They are advocates for high-performance buildings and schools. For communities focused on water and energy conservation. And for discovering that green is good for business while raising the bar for social equity in future developments. Sometimes their accomplishments are ‘quietly green’ and sometimes iconic – making the St. Louis skyline more sustainable, one building at a time. Yet all those nominated and honored for the Growing Green Awards share a passion for excellence and an enduring commitment to seeing our region as a model for the rest of the nation.
The St. Louis Regional Chapter is proud to celebrate and recognize the individuals, groups and organizations actively transforming the built environment while sharing their knowledge of green building and sustainable practices.
This year’s categories include:
- Innovator: seeking innovative solutions to a green building problem, including existing, new or renovated buildings, systems or operations
- Home Builder: working to further sustainable residential building, single family or multi-family up to 30 units
- Government: working within the governmental sector, through the sustainability of the built environment, to provide leadership by example and actions
- Quietly Green: demonstrating a commitment to the evolution of green building, promoting awareness of the movement and embodying the attributes and innovative spirit of a green building leader
- Educator: embracing sustainable building or creating an outstanding building, campus, system or innovation
- Corporate: working within the commercial sector, including multi-family buildings above 30 units, to further sustainable building
- Non-Profit: working in the non-profit sector to provide leadership, consulting, support or encouragement around sustainability and the built environment
