St. Louis Regional Chapter News
As the green building advocate for Greater St. Louis, it’s our job to promote, educate and guide transformation of the area’s built environment. We work with educators, municipal officials, building owners, design and construction professionals and the public to make this happen every day. A LEED® Silver building ordinance for the City of St. Louis. Grants to advance green building in Missouri. A National Chapter award from the U.S. Green Building Council. And the new Growing Green Awards, recognizing St. Louis people and organizations for excellence in green building and sustainable practices. It’s what we do.
Word on the Street
Congratulations to the City of St. Louis for passing an ordinance adopting LEED Silver Certification for all newly constructed city-owned buildings over 5,000 square feet! The Board of Alderman passed the bill on February 2, 2007 and the Mayor signed it on February 20. Download the full text of the St. Louis Board of Public Service Bill 323.
